  ABOUT HELEN KELLER'S:

"Helen Keller's Institute of Research & Rehabilitation for the disabled children", is running Special School for the Hearing Impaired, Pre Degree and Degree college for the hearing impaired, Manpower development program which includes teacher for the deaf, Diploma program in special education, degree and master degree program for the speech and hearing professionals, and master of business administration under one roof. The voluntary organization started with the school for the hearing impaired named "Helen Keller's school for the deaf ". The school was started with 10 deaf children on 27th June 1984, on the occasion of 105th Birthday of " Ms. Helen Keller", a lady of success in life by overcoming her multiple handicaps (i.e. both deafness and blindness). Now there are 1150 hearing impaired students in both Telugu & English medium catering education from pre-school to University level in regular stream. The Institution is recognised by the state government, Secondary & Higher Secondary Board of Education, A.P. Higher Education Council, Osmania University, Pondicherry University and Rehabilitation Council of India. The Institute has four campuses situated at Ramakrishnapuram & Maredpally in Secunderabad, Ponnur in Guntur district, and Cuddapah district, covering all the districts in Andhra pradesh.
